Does anyone know what time Apple is going to make their big announcement? If so where can I find it on the web. I would like to watch it today at work.

Apple does not stream or allow streaming of their keynotes. There are all sorts of places where you can watch live blogging of the event; I like live.gdgt.com. If past history suggests what will happen today, Apple will have on their site a Quicktime download and stream of the event by tonight or tomorrow morning, so you can watch it after the fact. They also have a video podcast (iTunes link) of these that come a day later, which is usually how I watch them.

It looks like a great device. I'm not sure that it solves any problems that I have - if I traveled a lot, it might - but when they cut the price for the holiday season (if not 2010, in 2011), I'll think about it.

I can say that it's a great device because that's my opinion. It's certainly better to me than an Asus EEE or other netbook, which I think are pieces of junk. You may feel otherwise. Bully for you. Just don't tell me what I should or should not think, thanks very much.

I don't see where in the post you quoted he's telling anyone what to think. He did state his opinion though? Feeling guilty?

I agree on both posts, the thing is a waste but people will pay for that logo AND it's your money, you can do what you want with it.

On that thought go to a apple forum and try discussing the differances between android and Apple OS. The reaction will be way more harsh. Android is the long awaited equal (or better) alternative to overpriced hardware with rounded corners. Open minded people weight their options and there needs. Apple fanboys look for the logo, rationalizing a need in their life.

As unbiased as I can get: It doesn't seem to fill any niche or break any barriers. It's just everything we already have repackaged in a bigger box.
