"application cannot be installed in default location"

Hello! I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2. I have recently been getting this message when trying to update apps or install new ones: "application cannot be installed in default location."

I have read to go to settings, storage, preferred default location, and untick SD Card.

I do not have the "preferred default location" selection on my phone, though.

I do not know how to fix this and need help!

Please and Thank You!

Check the storage. You probably have very little internal storage left. You could try an app like app2sd, setting it to default to installing apps to the SD card, but you might still have to delete some apps and.or data from internal storage to get enough space to install anything.
