Application forever downloading ...

I have the application "relax and sleep", but I don't know if it matters which app.
One day the market said there was an update, and I selected to download.
It's been downloading this app for weeks now! It just loops forever.
If I try to cancel, it tells me I need to force close the market.
Then next time I open the market it will start to download again.
I tried to reboot the phone, still downloading.

Can't access the uninstall button, since it's downloading.

Having same problem with Twitter upgrade--just keeps saying "installing". Worried that it is draining battery power.

I even tried to uninstall it manually via the Settings area (manage applications). Then restarted the phone.
That SOB is still downloading!

I had the same problem with grooveshark.

Went to settings, manage applications, selected the Market app. Cleared data & cache and then went back to the market and started the download again and it worked.

That sounds good, however my app doesn't appear anymore in the "manage applications", as I've managed to uninstall it. So I assume it also means there is no data to clear anyways.

oh wait i just realized I misread.
You are correct. I deleted the cache of the MARKET app and I think it fixed it!
Thanks!
