Application Installation Problem

Last night I was attempting to update the application, Grocery IQ. During the update process, my Android Incredible rebooted. When I went back to the market to see if the update was successful, Grocery IQ stated that it was installing. However no matter how long I wait, the app does not install but says it is installing. I tried the following things:

1) Closed and restarted Market. Once I restarted market, the app immediately starts trying to install but just sits there.
2) Deleting existing app and then returning to Market. At this point, I search for the app, select it in the market, and without me doing anything it immediately starts trying to install even though I did not tell it to install.
3) Removing the battery.

Any help on how to stop it from trying to install every time I select it so that I can begin again would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Go to settings>applications>manage applications go to the Market and select clear data.

I had the same thing happen to me and that took care of it.

Suddenly restarts if i install any appilcations(not virus affected application)

Can anyone say why is that? any solutions?

Im using froyo latest rom.
