Apps Application needed

Hi, I am newbie in Android. I am getting a job in Android in a company but the problem is I havent made any application in Android. Hey guys can you just give some applications or suggest an easy application that I can show to the comapny.
Help is needed.

Do you need an idea for an prog, or do you need to borrow code?

Best crash course could be subscribing to the Commonwares books (thee "Busy coder's guide to..." series) and memorize their contents page to page. It is a very detail intensive area to grasp but possible if you invest time.
