Apps application reset when phone rotate

Hi,
When rotating the phone (HTC Hero SDK 1.5) the application is reset.
How to avoid this problem?

I tried the first example posted at Stack Overflow, but not completely sure how to do it. How do I for example name my Application name in the manifest?
