Are any of you old enough to remember the original marketing campaign used by Steve Jobs when introducing the Macintosh?
It showed Nazis marching in the streets and aligned the IBM PC as a tightly controlled corporate device that you couldn't customize, be creative or make your own. The Mac allowed all this individual freedom.
Fast forward to 2009.
-IPhone is propriatary and tightly controlled
Android is open and available to anyone
-Iphones all look alike and may not be tampered with
Andorid phones can look like anything; whatever manufactures dream up
-Iphone screens all look the same. All apps are buttons the same size in a tight rigid grid
Andorid screens can be customized to look however you want
-Iphone appls must meet stringent apple corporate rules. The approval process is long and stringent
Android apps are based on what people want; not what "the man" wants.
Ironic I think; that Apple has come full circle.
