Ive noticed that on the HTC hero when installing applications the hero loses some functionability, for example when connected to wifi the hero can also browse the internet while on a simultanious call. Also the soft keyboard will lag when certain games or programs are installed. I have reset my hero twice and now the only app I am running is Handcent sms... I dont know much about android or the OS but i suspect that there are some cached files or something that affect other files inside of the OS...
here are some problems that I have experienced with certain apps...
Locale--- no connection to Wifi internet while on a call
FES File browser/task manager---Random apps opening and Wifi loses connection
taskmanager 1.11- The g sensor LAGS LIKE HELL!!!
These are some that I have noticed after install..
I suggest taking note of the speed of your heros keyboard and G sensor, backing up the OS, Doing a data reset. Then intsallling apps one by one and taking note. You might be suprised at what you see...
the sense UI takes up processor space and is something unique to the hero, therefore developers might not take this into consideration when creating apps and there may be some scripts that may not be compatible...
