Apps are refreshed/restarted when I switch to other apps.

I am using Nokia 5 7.1.2 Nougat.
Whenever I am playing a game or viewing any app, and I switch to another app for messaging and return back to it, the app gets completly refreshed and reloaded, for games it begins from the start.
Also many times the apps keep crashing for no reason.
I tried clearing the cache, rebooting phone and visiting developer options.
What could possibly the issue with my phone?

Do you have any power saving settings turned on which stop apps from running in the background? If the game needs an internet connecting and you've got it set to restrict background data I guess it'd have to reload when you go back to it.

I assume you've not played with the developer options (there is a setting there that will wipe any app from memory when you switch apps, which would do this), and don't have any task killers/system optimisers/battery boosters or similar snake oil?

If you were switching between 2 large apps I'd think that is possible anyway (if the system doesn't have the resources to keep both in RAM), but it certainly shouldn't happen generally. @Xavier Black, do you have the same phone?

There's also the chance it's just down to individual apps. There's a game I play which used to do that but after a couple of updates by the dev it's stayed on pause in the background.

Thanks for asking!, it's a S5..also on the developer option I have the processes to the standard limits, even though I've tried to set it to 4 processes in the back grown, but it always reverts back to the default standard process..

One thing I have to say is that is mainly the browser that does that..

Do you think because its weight is about 224mgb??, I've gone into it's settings and can't find any to change that behavior..
