Apps Apps built using Python Kivy - Monetize using ads

Hi,
I wanted to ask if anyone added ads to monetize your app written in Kivy.

I am planning to make an app and wanted to know if anyone was successful in monetizing their app by integrating ads in them.
I need some guidance as in steps. Do I wait to complete my code and test it and then think about ads or should i be working on that as well in between my code to fit it in.
What kind of accounts do I need like google account etc to make this happen.
Are there any charges to it?

Yes, we integrated in SquTA and Santa the Chartboost interstitial adds (images and video).
Cazzle, the next app made in Godot engine is integrating Google AdMob.
