Help Apps close when alt-tabbing out of them

Hello,
I recently bought myself a Huawei P9 Lite, running on 6.0. A weird problem I ran into is whenever I go from one app to another, or just home, if I don't open it up again, it restarts as if it were closed. Now it wouldn't be that huge of a problem,. but some apps do take a while to load up and continuous MP games( for example Hearthstone ) closing is pretty bad. Anybody know a fix for this? Thank you.

Hearthstone is a pretty demanding game, I'm guessing the OS closes it when it's not in use because of high ram usage

I only gave hearthstone as an example, it happens with every app, even internet browser and youtube (thought they don't long to boot up, reloading pages and videos is a tad more than annoying)

Have you enabled the developer options menu (find the "build number" under About > Software information and tap on it repeatedly, unless they've grown-up with 6.0 and made it straightforward rather than hiding it in a silly Easter Egg)? There is an option in there (probably under "Developer options > Advanced") that will terminate every app the moment you leave it, but it should not be set by default. However if it had been enabled it would do what you see, so it's worth checking this.

I tried that option once, decided I didn't like it real fast because I have to switch between apps to find passwords/info needed.

While you're there in developer options, open "running services". It gives an idea how much memory is tied up by system and high priority apps that have running services. The apps on this screen are occupying a high priority portion of memory and cannot easily be removed by the system (in contrast cached apps are low priority and system can easily grab that memory).

If you have low free memory in this screen, then go through those running services and see if any are associated with apps that you can disable or uninstall.

Also, a longshot, how much free space do you have on your internal sd card.
