How do you know for sure if some App is closed and not draining my battery?

Default songs I can't delete, it gives me option and I delete them but they are still there, same for default Desktop backgrounds.
How to delete default desktop icons?

I installed Dolphin HD browser and I want to remove from desktop default browser. DolphinHD rocks! so many options.

To be really sure, go to Settings>Applications>All and find the app ... then click into the details. If it allows you to click on "Force Stop" then it was still running. If that option is not available, then it is not running.

Im not sure about this. Maybe try connecting to PC and browsing for those files, delete that way?

On the homescreen hold your finger on the icon you want to move/remove. After a few seconds you will see a change in how the screen looks, but dont let finger off icon ... drag it to the very top of screen where it says "Remove". This will only remove it from the screen, its not uninstalling the app
