Help Apps crashing like crazy on Android!

Hi all!

Since a couple of days apps like Messenger and Facebook keep on crashing when i open them. Facebook crashes when i click another link, or when i click on messenger.

Also if i open messenger seperately it crashes.

I tried a total reset of my Huawei Y550, in the beginning it worked, but after a couple of hours it's all crashing again.. any tips please?

Is it just these 2 apps? I ask because both were updated a few days ago according to the Play Store, which sounds like it could be about the time this problem started. So if you have accepted those updates (or have automatic updates enabled) your problem could be a bug in the app updates. If you have them pre-installed and automatic updates enabled that could also explain them working for a short period after a reset: the reset would remove the update, but then it would update again after a while.

I don't know whether this is the cause, but if they are pre-installed you could try uninstalling updates, and turning automatic updates off if you have it enabled, and seeing whether that fixes it. If it lasts more than a few hours you could then report a bug to facebook.

If not then hopefully someone who has these apps installed will have some ideas (I don't use either, and remove them from my ROM).

go into Play Store options and turn off Auto updates.

then uninstall the apps if they are with the phone.
if like Hadron says, they don't crash anymore, it is a flawed app.

After you tun off Play $tore auto-updates,

1) Uninstall updates for the problem apps.
2) Clear the cache for the problem apps.

You should then be back to where you were before the facist updates.
