Apps from Phone to Nexus 7?

I am only a few weeks new to Android altogether as I got the Samsung Galaxy SIII. Just got the Nexus 7 and was wondering how do I get the apps I have already downloaded for my phone to the tablet? Thanks -

You can download them again through Google Play. If you've paid for them, they will show up as paid when you look for them on your tablet, too. If you don't want to do that, you have to root your phone and use something like Titanium Backup to make a copy, move it over to your tablet, and restore them again.

Yup, go to Google Play on a desktop.
A list of all your apps (paid and free) should be in there... press install then pick the device of choice. Have WiFi or mobile network enabled on the device you want to add the apps onto and the apps will start automatically downloading.
Your phone and N7 have to be linked to the same Google account though.

My kindle fire would not allow a couple of apps to download so I downloaded them on another android, copied the file across and installed with no problem.

Launch the Play Store from you N7, and at the top you will see an Arrow down icon by the search icon, tap it and it will take you to all your apps. It will show your installed apps, but a swipe to the left will show you all the apps that have been installed using your Google Account. If you've installed a lot of apps in your time, this may not be efficient as you will have to sift through all the apps and they don't seem to be in any efficient order so you just gotta scroll until you find what you want.

The desktop method seems to be the easiest.
