apps not opening

i recently ran into a problem,earlier this morning my s3 was working fine like always then all of a sudden my apps would not open, when restarting the phone doesnt work and takes longer than usual ,i deleted the recent apps i downloaded and still nothing , i powered into safe mode and it seems the system apps work .any ideas on how to make it work without having to factory reset?id hate to have to delete everything .

You could try booting into recovery and clearing cache. If you have a custom recovery installed, like Philz, you could also try clearing dalvik cache.

looked like it was working but after awhile it stopped working im rooted on the wikid rom if that helps any

hmm i took my sd card out and it started working again, could my sd card be corrupt?
