For the past few days none of my apps have been updating. The app downloads and then starts to install but it never actually does. Even if I try and download a new app it will download and say installing but never actually do it. I have a my touch slide 4g if that matters. Anyone have any suggestions? thanks

My first suggestion would be to restart your phone. My second suggestion would be to check how much available space is on your SD Card and your Device Itself.
If none of those issues seem to be the problem, try this.
What I'm hoping this will do is clear any bugs out of your Market App.
After a short while this should reset the download update for your Market/Google Play. For best results make sure you have an active Wi-Fi connection or a reliable 3G or 4G connection.
I hope this helps. I have had to do this a few times myself to fix Applications from bugging out.

If none of those issues seem to be the problem, try this.
- Please open your Settings and touch the Applications area on the menu. Here you will find a list of all installed Applications.
- Touch "Manage Applications"
- Attempt to locate "Market" or "Google Play Store" & open it.
- Touch "Clear Cache", "Clear Data", & "Uninstall Updates" if it's shown.
- Touch your "Home" button on your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Now open your Market/Google Play from the normal Application tray when the phone loads to the homescreen

It's probably updating. Give it some time. My market took awhile to update to the new version.I did all that and now google play won't open at all

It seems that you might be having internet connection problems. I'm not sure if your device has an option to "update profile" or something similar. This would be the best time to update it. Have you checked inside your device's area of support to see if this problem has been affecting other members as well?

Are you on wifi of 4g? Ive noticed I cant really do anything over the slow 4g speed of tmobile. I usually do everything for updating etc through wifi connection only.
