Apps on SD card can't be found by phone...

I had to factory reset my phone after it started freezing, it now works fine again.
However, I had used app2sd to move lots of my apps to my sd card. Now these apps don't pop up on the phone anywhere, yet they are definitely still on the sd card as the amount of free space hasn't changed.

Any help?...

Correct. A factory reset wipes EVERYTHING from your phone, including your installed apps. "Moving" the apps to the sd card does not actually move the actual app to the sd card, only the app's extra data/cache files. The only way to truely backup apps is to be rooted and run Titanium Backup.
