Help apps shutting down

Hi i have been having problems with my i1. latley when i open an app like facebook or handcet i get an error window pop up that says something like this
"SORRY! the application Facebook (process com. facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again . then there is a force close button
i have been having this type of message with other apps not just facebook. does anyone have any idea what in going on and an idea how to fix it?

I am having the same issue! I have been researching the problem but really have not found a solution yet. I reset my phone, uninstalled apps and then reinstalled, etc. Problem exists. Hope someone will offer a solution and soon!

I think the problem is that the apps have been updated and they will not work with the antique operating system on these phones. Unless they upgrade these phones to atleast 2.1 a lot of apps will not work unless you can find and old version of the app.
