Apps that seem to run better as system?

Has anyone found a favorite app that works smoother, faster, etc after converting to system? A perfect example is viper equalizer. Unless it's system it will kick on and off, stutter. Took me a while to figure that one out originally.

On the other hand some apps don't do well as system. Neutron music player broke when I tried with that.

ViPER4Android does better because it's designed for that - it wants to install and use its own drivers.

Installing in system carries risk - anything there is given higher privileges.

I think that on a lot of phones you can put Titanium Backup and your favorite file explorer there to survive a factory data reset.

Otherwise I wouldn't make a habit of it myself although others do. It's not the sort of thing that you want to play with unless you have a current nandroid backup.

I didn't think of it that way. Though (I don't think) I use any dangerous apps. But I will have to reassess my system apps now.

I think I've had tb as system before and it still died in the flashing of another ROM but I'm not sure. I will have to test that on my backup volt.

Yeah, system is replaced when flashing roms so it's not a permanent thing.
