Help Apps to sd card & 2.2 update

Hello everyone^^, I've loomed the forums for some time now; but decided to register since i did not see my problem anywhere here.

So the thing is that, I bought the flipside some time ago, & started playing with it and whatnot. I found some cool apps & used Android Central to install the .apk file to my phone. Everything worked well..... until i wanted to install Sims 3. The file is to big & i dont have enough storage in my phone to put it. I saw that in other phones you could just install the app to the sd card. I also saw that they had added that in the 2.2 update. Which brings me to my question, Can i update the flipsed to the 2.2 firmware? & if not How can i pass my apps to the sd card?

Alright so a lot of people are having problems updating their FlipSide to run on 2.2 firmware. Idk how this is a problem because if you just do the system update it should be there. i updated to 2.2 a long time ago and have had it ever since. idk if they may have pulled the update to to bugs and glitches, but i dont think so or they would have come out with a new update again.

anyway, you need to root your phone in order to transfer apps to your sd card. if you go into the market there are a few apps designed to do just that.

So i was worng. i looked at it and what my phone updated to was 2.1-update1.
why? idk.

There is not a date set for Flipside to get the 2.2 update, according to the Motorola website. Apps to SD cards is not yet possible with this phone unless it is rooted.
