From what I've read the partition shouldn't be larger than 2GB (2048). I used Ext2 which seems to be the safest bet.
I used the MiniTool Partition Wizard to make the partition:
MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition - CNET Download.com
Edit: After setting up the partition, remember to click on the apply button.. I didn't the first time and had to do again.
I used this guide:

and use link2sd and link
dont think so on the xda post it says have the sd card in a adapter connected to a computer
your welcomeDarn it. Well OK thanks
were you able to move any apps to your SD card, because I looked alot of places and they all say its not possible with newer Samsungs
So, essentially, creating the link is moving the app to your SD card? I don't need to worry about the "move to SD" option?
ETA: I just checked my internal memory and it hasn't budged. I'm very confused.
Yes ignore the move to sd option.. that method has been disabled by Samsung.
You have root and made a partition on your sd card?
Yes, I have root and I have a ext2 partition on my SD card, per the MiniTool Partition program.
Does it say it has been linked?
You can check to see if the app has moved by browsing to /data/sdext2
Yes, the app is telling me that the apps have been linked. I went into the mnt/extsdcard directory, and it's showing folders for different apps, but I can't tell if they are the current apps, or just leftover folders for apps I had on a different phone (if that makes sense). Part of me just wants to wipe the card (after I make a backup of mp3's, pics, etc.) and see if that makes a difference. Would that be a good idea? I know I'm being a complete noob, but it's just not making a whole lot of sense. THANKS!
If Link2SD worked properly.. it should have mounted the ext2 partition.. it maps the partition to data/sdext2 (this isn't the same as mnt/extsdcard)
