Apps Update Notification

You know what's odd. I've never gotten an apps update notice in the notification bar. When I'm using the MyTouch I get them all the time but never have I seen it with the Behold II.

I just assumed that it wasn't a feature with 1.5

Usually I just go to market and check my downloads to see what updates have come in. I wonder if this could be a reason why I haven't received the bug fix.

its a feature of 1.6 and up

That's what I thought but a few posts down someone claimed to get an app update notice.

Another thing, if there's no notifications for 1.5 Why then when you go to Market > My Downloads > Menu > Notifications ... you're given the option to be notified when items are updated?

Sounds pretty illogical.
