OOPS! wrong picture. Look at the end of this thread for the new oneOld thread, but I thought I'd revive it since I just started using Aqua Mail, and the last question had gone unanswered.
The answer is yes and no. You can change the display sort, but only in the Smart Folder (unified inbox), not the individual account inboxes. Odd, but it suits my needs. Here are the display options:

Yes, Aquamail sets it up correctly. I can send/receive with no problem. I just don't get notifications quickly. It takes 5-15 mins before I'm notified of a new email on my phone. On my laptop (right beside it) it get instant notifications.
