Help Arches 70 DDR?

I just ordered an Archos 70 on Amazon. Does anyone know if it is 256 or 512 DDR? I'm worried now because it seems I read somewhere that in order for it to be "upgradable" you have to have 512. Am I wrong? I checked the Archos website and it didn't list DDR at all. Hmmm.....

(Okay, I'm an idiot - I misspelled "Archos" in the thread header and I can't seem to edit it.)

I don't think the ddr is known.

However I bought my wife one before christmas and it had 2.1 on it and as soon as she opened it there was an upgrade for 2.2 if thats what you are wondering about.

Also the is not different versions with different ddr. There is only 8g flash or 250g harddrive.

when asking if it is DDR that is a term used in desktop and laptop PC's ths unit have 256mb of ram yes this is a little on the low side for my liking but I have not seemed to have a big issues with it.

As for upgrades that is anyones guess as there is no Specs requirements for honeycomb and even if we do qualify archos will have to build Firmware.

Mine runs fine with factory specs...How fast do you really need to turn pages on the web...or are you interested for movie's sake. I've played lots of movies and seems ok....Rick
