Will not cool a room but for the 4 hours it works on high it will cool you off.

Once the water is gone it's a weak fan.

Are they worth it to take the edge off the heat for a few hours? Can you refill and set them going right away or is their a wait between recharges?

3 minutes to let the filters get wet. You'll see the water level change. Then fill it up again and a guaranteed 4 hours of personal coolness with the high setting. Confirmed by use.

For the rest of this week I'm testing medium.

Medium didn't work for me.

If i put a real AC in my room I'll have to leave the door open to help the whole house.

This Summer hasn't been as hot as the days of my yourh.

Temperate is good in Boston, MA.
