Help Are all QI wireless chargers created equal?

Hi -

Is there much difference between wireless chargers for the N5 - or as long as it is QI compatible will it be OK??

Also how much did the previous generation official wireless Nexus charger cost?

I'm pretty sure any QI charger will work. I just got 2 of these Nokia Lumia QI chargers in the mail, and they work perfectly with my Nexus 5 and 7.

I have the LG unit. More expensive but works great. Not too sensitive to how you set the phone on it.

Do the phones get very warm when they charge? I was looking on Amazon and saw one that specifically said it would keep the phone cooler, which is better for the battery (their claim).

Having not used one of these before I've been holding off buying until I do some research and get some feedback from the fine folks here at AF.com.
