Are any Verizon high end smartphones rootable anymore?

Sorry if this is not the place for this discussion. Please point me in the right direction, if not.

I was just wondering what I'd do if something happened to my rooted S5 (running LP, BOG5) and I needed to get a new phone from Verizon. Are there any of the higher end android phones that are rootable from them anymore, or do all of them have the locked boot loader nobody seems to be able to crack?

Verizon are using their own mega locked down bootloader on more and more phones such as the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Motorola Droid Turbo to name but a few. It would appear that they no longer want their customers to root and rid themselves of their revenue generating bloatware and it would be foolish to get a new phone from them, (or possibly even AT&T), if you intend to root.

Thanks. I'm getting the same impression. I know I won't go back to Sprint, though. The reception here at our house is many times greater with Verizon. What other carriers use Verizon's towers, if anyone knows?

All cart before the horse stuff, but I like to do my research. I even read owners manuals before I get something. :-)
