Are Generic Extended Batteries Worth It (Quality)?

New 3500mAh Extended Battery + Cover for Samsung i9000 Galaxy S Vibrant T959 | eBay

I'm interested in an extended battery for my Galaxy S Vibrant. Anyone have any experience with generics? Any place/brand you'd recommend? I'm wondering whether the quality, how much the battery will actually hold, how fast the capacity will degrade, might make them not worth it.
