Do Porn sites mess your device up? Reasons i'm asking was i use i have a Samsung Galaxy A3 & when i went on Pornhub it would pop-up your device has a Virus with a 30 minute timer also noticed this Samsung Galaxy was laggy.Touchwood my HTC i got for Christmas has never gave me problems.Only had to reboot it once as it was a bit warm.Any advice on this should i completely stay off these sites? I did scan for Virus's with the app on the Samsung Galaxy & nothing.I do visit Pornhub on my PS4 Slim most days & no pop-ups.As far as i know PS4's cannot get Virus's on these Porn sites.

I suggest not going into site where it says Daddy Doing Doggy or Rover is all over Hot Wife sites because they may have hotkey malware attached to them and may have auto download ghost data mining material installed on your device.

No judgement about the sites you are browsing (but, eewwww ;) ) since any website can potentially compromise your device, but it's important to understand what you're seeing. First, it's becoming increasingly difficult for a website to directly inject active malware into a phone's system. However, it's not so hard to trick the user into doing it themselves.

With cookies, redirects and pop-ups it's relatively easy to make it look like you've been infected with malware when, in fact, you haven't. The trick is to get you to think that you have a big problem and the only way to fix it is to click the link they provide. The link will require permissions to run some type of scanner or antivirus, which, of course, is the malware.

Porn sites are notorious for this since they really only care about one thing $$$$ and if some scammer/spammer wants to pay them to put their infected ad in the rotation, well Ka-CHING, they are more than happy to take their money, too.

I've seen these on "news" sites as well. Any site that requires me to disable my ad blocker before I can view their content is quickly dismissed.

Porn sites are just web sites, there's no statistical evidence (outside of conservative-generated studies) that porn sites are any more or less dangerous as far as general web surfing. The myth that porn sites are somehow more hazardous is just that, a myth that continues to be propagated by those morally offended by the content.
Just as an anecdotal example I can go to the chicagotribune.com site and there are 21 web trackers attempting to infiltrate my browser, plus unless I allow all third-party cookies the site itself is just a static page that only allows me to read the headlines. Even this site is currently showing there are 29 web trackers. Going to pornub.com and there are 2 web trackers. The point being that again, a typical porn site is just a typical web site. You're going to encounter ones that are indeed more hazardous and some that are just there to serve up online content, just like the rest of sites you interact with on a daily basis.

I would like to add that I'm neither morally offended, or judgemental of the OP's choice of websites he wishes to visit.
It's a free world.

Try this one:

**mod removed porn link**

I haven't had any pop up so far..I started it this week..I don't know if is because I have a root ad blocker..or because is a "safe" site..I don't really navigate into porn sites..I make my own porn..so it's safer and more enjoyable that way.

I hope that one works for you, and like Lunny said, the important part is not to let yourself be tricked and think you already have the virus when you haven't gotten it before you click the tab they want you to tap..

Yeah, let's not post porn links ok? ;)

Just so we're perfectly clear ... unless you have an active malware scanner app running (inappropriately called "antivirus"), no website, app or OS will pop-up a warning about being infected with a virus, trojan, malware of any sort or the avian flu and offer to help you fix it. 100% of those are scams.
