Are there any Android phones comparable to the Lumia 900? (ATT)

Love my lumia 900. The battery life and camera are actually really great. Fully charged at about 8 am, half an hour commute to work listening to music, moderate texting, a couple hours of phone calls, some youtube videos during lunch, and music on the way back from work and doesnt need charging until about 9pm. And data speeds are really fast.

Those are the only two things that are stopping me from going back to another Android phone: The battery after all that time is about 20%, and doesnt really need charging till about 9 pm. However, I really want the ability to customize my phone, root it for new UI's in the future, and use Gameboid on the phone. Plus there is the fact of the amount of apps on the Lumia are next to nill...

I saw the problems with ICS draining batteries on the s2 and wondered if the camera and battery life on the S2 would be comparable to my Windows phone. As Android users, do you think it is worth switching to the Galaxy S2 (can't afford a One x or s3 right now) for its range apps and options? Plus do you think that camera on the S2 is better?

Every phone is going to be different. My suggestion to you would be to go to anandtech and check their smartphone bench section. While the list isn't near complete for the latest models, it will give you a base idea of what you need to look for.

On an Android, the battery life is entirely dependent on the way you setup the device. I could make my phone last 2 days without charging if I want to (lasted that way when new bought or new format), or I set it up to work the way I want to see only 10hr battery life.

I think there will be even less in the future. I believe Microsoft has stated that any phone with WinPhone 7.5 will NOT be upgraded to WinPhone 8. Going to be the Osborne Effect I think ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osborne_effect
"The Osborne effect is a term referring to the unintended consequence of the announcement of a future product ahead of its availability and its impact upon the sales of the current product." ... note that Apple does NOT do this.

Here in China the Nokia Lumia 900 is really expensive for some reason. About equivalent of $800 USD, locked and with a mandatory two year, rather pricey contract. IMO that's a lot of money for something that doesn't appear to have much future ahead of it. It's priced like the iPhone 4S here.

Wow, Mike. The Lumia 900, I believe, is only $99 USD with a two year contract (may even be less now).
It's a beautiful phone, but it really sucks that Microsoft won't upgrade it FULLY to WP8, being a flagship phone and all.
Like Chanchan said, battery life can be all over the place. For most forums on here, it's generally a very popular topic. We have stickies for several devices (and Android in general) for help on preserving battery life.
The SGS2 is still a beast of a phone but I know ICS has caused some problems for some folks. If you have a chance to "test run" one for a few days to see if you really like it, I'd recommend that.

The Lumia 900 can be had for $50 on-contract now. They could give 'em away and it wouldn't matter. Despite all the millions in advertising and promotion only about 600,000 have been sold in the US.

WP is just so bad nobody wants it.
