Are there any modern phones with the charging port and the headphone jack are at the top?

I'm looking for a smartphone where the charging port and the headphone jack are at the top. Having the headphone jack at the bottom is a hustle so is the charger being at the bottom. I can't watch videos on portrait mode properly. I use my phone vertically 98% of the time.

I've never seen any smart-phone that has the USB charging port at the top, and quite frankly I can't imagine anyone wanting such a thing. There's plenty of phones that have the headphone jack at the top, some have it at the bottom. But as you might know, quite a few recent devices lack headphone jacks. As for using a phone horizontally, in landscape mode, depending on which way you orientate it, the connectors will be on the left or the right.

sorry i meant i use my phone vertically 98% of the time. but as ive mentioned if the jack is at the bottom, you cant watch videos vertically simply the phone wont stand correctly. if the earphone jack is straight, then making it stand up is not possible. youll have to watch videos on landscape mode if you use earphones

Well if the phone is in a horizontal position for watching videos, as I often do myself, the headphone jack will be on the left or right. I can't see where the problem is for standing it in a horizontal position. Maybe I'm missing something?

And if your whatever it is phone lacks a headphone jack, you'll be using Bluetooth headphones, and so the problem is irrelevant. You can very much assume that all phones have their USB charging ports at the bottom, the exception been wireless charging.

I think the problem is that few people want to watch video vertically, so this is a niche taste. And the phone market is bad at catering to niches: much larger ones than this were abandoned because it's more profitable to focus on the mainstream.

I've seen a few phones which put the USB port on the side, but not recently. And of course these days it's more a question of whether the phone has a headphone jack than where it is.

Something with wireless charging and a charging stand, perhaps?

mean standing position. vertical. if theres a jack on the bottom itll be a huslte. it wont stand. plus, bluetooth earphones die anyway

My Lenovo K3 Note has the USB port and the headphone jack at the top.

It's good for desktop but not so good when used in a car, unless you want to use the phone horizontally.

Well my BT headphones don't die so quick. But anyway, just about all current phones have the charging port at the bottom, unless you consider wireless charging an option. And you better buy your new phone soon, because headphone jacks look like they're going away. :p

The Poblano VLE5 Hot Pepper has the USB and headphone jacks at the top.

At first, I thought that I would like that.

It is more convenient in the car.

But, after the phone has slid off of the bed (which is low to the ground) a few times- landing onto a soft, shag carpetted floor- and destroyed the end of a power cord each time, I am less enthusiastic about the placement of these jacks.

And when it is in a phone stand and charging, it puts the cord at a strained angle, sometimes losing connection and not charging.

I have dubbed that phone 'The Cord Muncher', as it has destroyed more in cords than the device itself cost.

The Pixel 4a provides half of the answer: headphone jack at the top. So as long as you don't need to charge the phone at the same time that does what's needed.

I know this is an old thread, but since it popped up.. My old windows phone had the charging port on top, which I liked. Currently, my phone always seems to be upside down if I'm charging it in my car. :)
