Are we supposed to remove the film that looks like a screen protector?

I had every intention of leaving it there as additional "insurance", but it's already terribly scratched from the edge of my credit card rubbing against it when my portfolio case is closed. SURELY Gorilla Glass 5 can take a beating from a stinking credit card without scratching! :p

^^^ same. left it on there since I don't usually buy any. I even left the rear one on after cutting the tab.

Why would you want go keep using that one that comes on the phone. I used it for a day until I had time to install my actual full screen coverage protector. The one that came on my phone (verizon) didn't cover the entire screen.

The same could be asked about taking off the one that comes on the phone with NO dust only to apply one that can cost up to $20 and may have dust underneath once it's applied.
