Help "Are you sure"

At night time, I put my phones in airplane mode. On my iPhone, I hit the plane icon, and it's done. On my Note 4, I hit the plane icon, and I have to reassure the thing that I really want to commit to putting it into plane mode. Not a huge thing, in the scheme of life, but annoying all the same. I've encountered this scenario in other actions across the platform. Any way to disable these?
Cheers,

I've never been asked to confirm toggling airplane mode, so this looks like something device-specific (or maybe manufacturer-specific). In which case it's probably best that Note 4 owners answer this - I'll move the thread over to the Note 4 forum.

Appreciate it. Thanks Hadron!

There are a lot of new Android users out there, and Samsung is well aware of it. They are undoubtedly concerned that someone out there may press the airplane icon, not knowing the full extent of what it does. I suppose this "feature" is there to warn users that NONE of the radios will work in airplane mode. Without a Note 4 Developer Edition and a custom ROM that eliminates the popup, I really don't think there's a way to get rid of it.

:)

So the rest of us who understand what airplane mode means have to put up with the system-babysitting? Awesome.

Well, it's the same in Settings with Samsung. Virtually any option you click on in Settings, a pop-up tells you what the Setting does and the effect it will have on you and the device. You can always check the "don't show me this again" box and you won't see THAT one again.

In a way, it's a learning tool... although I can definitely see where many experienced users might consider it "system-babysitting". With advances in technology and customizations, however, I sometimes find myself up against a new setting option and it's actually nice that the phone tells me what it does. It's a trade-off, I suppose.

I haven't seen a popup yet that didn't have a box at the bottom of it that opts out of that specific popup. What setting are you on that you can't opt out?

Please refer to above photo. Option to opt out clearly not present.

Stock android version 4.4.4, running Nova Launcher.

it is what it is. I liked the "system babysitting" comment. to the majority of people, these are simple and obvious. especially if you've had a cell phone in the last 10 years or so...

This is something that's only in Samsung phones. You get this nanny/babysitter requester, every time you toggle aeroplane mode on. And there is no way to turn it off, apart from rooting, Xposed modules or changing ROM. It's not even like headphone volume too loud warning requester which only appear once, unless you reboot the phone.
