Armlogic A9 - is it stable? Is A8 rockchip better?

Have been told by a supplier that the armlogic A9 8726 has stability problems. And that I should stick with rockchip A8 2918.
Anyone heard the same?

Also I want at least sndroid 2.3 and hopeful I'll be able to upgrade to android 3.0 and higher?

What device can someone recommend to me?

Not that I've seen, Amlogic make chipsets for lots of players that don't run Android.

For example here is someone saying Rockchip are unstable.

You wont seen it updated to Android 3 that is for tablets only. Most media player set top boxes will likely stay on 2.x for the foreseeable future.

Hi thanks for reply. I read that post. There is a real lack of reports. So would you stick with the armlogic. a9 option? I would have assumed the rockchip would have been sorted as its a older chip. I think the info being leaked from china factories are either false or comments to sell more of one or other type of chip. I have ordered a device but have been told its still being made in factory hence why I'm pissed off that the website took my money when they don't actually have the product in their store yet advertise it. Anyone else had this experience?
