Asphalt 5 download.

Newbie
Since I'm new to the smart phone/android market I have a couple of app questions.

When starting to play Asphalt 5 it says it needs to download a 96MB file and recommends using a wi-fi connection to do it. First, did you guys do it over the air or Wi-Fi? Second, is the game worth the 96mb download. How long does it take to download?

I am also new to the smart phone/Android world - and I just downloaded it 10 mins ago, used my Wi-Fi, as that's what it suggested. Since I have wireless internet, I just added it/entered the password to access it. Took a little less than a min to DL, I wasn't paying atten to how long.

Yes, you should do the DL for the game, not sure what it added - but it runs smoothly and it's a fun little game! Never played it b4, I'll probably play it a few times in Demo, before I decide if I want to buy - $6.99. Hope this helps. :)

Sounds like I'll give it a try. I wonder how long it would take to download over the air (if that's the right term) opposed to your Wi-Fi. I have Verizon Fios service which has built in Wi-Fi but I have never set it up...I guess now is the time.

not really worth it, took like 5 minutes before I could play downloading over wifi and then its a demo that gives you 5 minutes of play.

I can't really beleive sprint couldn't sprint for a full game when charging the outrageous price for this phone. Tmobile is putting full length movies on phones.

I agree with you on Sprint being cheap - especially when Tmo gave a full movie! I have only played the Asphalt 5 game once, I hope it'll let me play it a few more times for 5 mins each - if not, then (when I root) I will be removing it. :D

From my understanding the full game is there, I gathered that the DL I did, was an update. You get to play the full version of the game in Demo mode for 5 mins, and if you want to play longer than 5 mins, you have to buy - then it will unlock the timer. I could be wrong though, this is just what I gathered from the screen notes. :)

So do they limit game time AND the number of times you can play it before it locks you out?

Not sure how many times one can play it in Demo mode, I just know that you can only play the full version for 5 mins free each time. Just played it again, and it let me - so maybe there's no limit to playing the demo mode...?

I paid $6.99 and I'm not sorry I did. I'm a very bad driver, apparently. ;) So this game will be challenging me for a while. I'm looking forward to unlocking more cars and tracks.

Why is the market selling it for cheaper then from the game itself? It doesn't look like you can delete the game if you buy the market version.

Heads up to Galaxy S users...after version 3.1.3 hardware acceleration is broken.
You can test 3.1.3 and the newer one to see how much nicer it looks with 3.1.3

Is there any way to delete Asphalt 5 once you've downloaded it? I didn't realize it was a demo, and the idea of 100 MB of extra stuff on my super limited 1GB internal storage is bothering me.
