Assigning photos directly to a folder?

I have to say that I don't find Android's photo management intuitive. Having got to the bottom of how to set up folders for photos, what would be very useful would be to be able to choose which folder photos get put in as they are taken, rather than having to tinker about with a file management program later on (none of which seem to use thumbnails anyway).

Am I right in thinking that there is no way to choose a folder from the inbuilt camera? Is there any other camera app that would let me do this?

Have a look on the camera app Vignette.

It's better than the stock camera and you can choose a folder for the pictures :)

As far as I can tell, Vignette only allows you to choose the Vingette folder or the pictures folder. I want to be able to store vacation pictures in folders with place names so that I don't have to paw through all of them to find the great beach shot or the shot of my dog.

With Vignette, you are right :)

The other folders for my pictures to sort, I have created with a file manager (Estrongs File Explorer)
And I do the pictures move with file manager
