Associate playlists with PowerAmp, possible?

Is there a way to associate playlist files with PowerAmp? I want to create a playlist folder in one of my desktop screens, so that when I click one of the playlists stored there, PowerAmp starts playing that playlist.

Is this possible?

I know you can with the stock music player by putting a short cut on your screen by long pressing on the screen > shortcuts > music playlist > then pick the playlist from the list of your playlists. I use PowerAmp to and would love to be able to do this to. If there was some way of setting PowerAmp as your default player I guess it would work but I don't know how to do that.
