I just created a new test task and added a simple note. When I went in to edit the task it was there in the notes field. Is the task one created with an earlier version of Astrid?

Are you syncing to ProductEev? This seems to be a bug that appears after syncing to ProductEev. It never happened to me when I was syncing to RTM, but after I switched to syncing with ProductEev it started happening and I noticed a few other people had also reported it to Astrid.
