Help Astro won't install apk's

Hello Everyone,

New Android user here. I have installed Astro file manager from the market and also allowed installation of non-market apps. But when I try to install .apk files off my sdcard using Astro nothing happens. I open Astro, browse to the .apk file (on the root directory of the card), click the apk but nothing happens. I know its supposed to open a little window where I select Open File Manager but it doesn't come up. What am I missing here? Thanks guys!

I'm guessing when you long press it doesnt give you the option to open with package installer.

Try a different file manager like ES File Manager. Much better than Astro if you ask me.

I tried the long press with Astro but didn't open the installer. I downloaded ES File Explorer and it worked perfect! Thanks for the help guyss, much appreciated!
