Asus eeePad "Not in range, secured with WEP"

As an "Anti Apple person" I convinced my wife to get an Asus eeePad Android when she wanted an iPad like her girlfriends and at the same time as nokia are going away from the Symbian I too have switched over to Android with a Samsung Galexy S111 BUT my wife's eeeePad won't connect to the Wifi and comes up with this message "Not in range, secured with WEP" What does that mean and how can I convince my wife not to rush off to the Apple store waving her credit card around ?

The WEP is the security lock on your WiFi so that unwanted users can't access the internet though your router. You will want to check into your router literature and perhaps your notes as to what password was assigned or you assigned to gain access. I'm sure if you go into your tablet's settings you will find a place to enter that password and gain entry.
