Root [AT&T] another luddite question

I set up a wifi hotspot on my phone and it worked OK for a few times, but now when I activate the hotspot and try to turn on wifi it shuts the hotspot off and vice versa.
What am i doing wrong?

hotspot uses ur wlan card in rotated direction - as AP. so it's ok you can't use both hotspot & wifi.
