Help [AT&T] "GAPPS" Issue

Have had this phone for awhile now. The phone keeps locking up and I keep getting the notice......................

"Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"

When this happens, the phone will freeze for about 10 seconds and then continues. No apps or anything stop working. It has become very annoying.

It seems to coincide with the "Apple update"............not sure.

Has anyone got any ideas of what i should do?

No solution, but I can at least say that I've had the same issue, maybe once every day or two.

The "Apple update" failed to install on my phone (maybe because it's rooted and has a non-stock recovery?), so I don't think that's the issue.
 
I had that problem when I first set up my s3. After some research I found that going to Accounts and Settings-> Gmail account and un checking "sync internet" fixed the issue. Apparently the Samsung stock browser doesn't work well with this feature.
 
Yea, i had the same problem. Go in and clear the data and cache in applications for the browser. I have left internet sync off, its only for your bookmarks.
