Root [AT&T] How to get Jelly Bean 4.1 on AT&T SG3

I would like to get jelly bean on my SG3. I've read where you can download the beta version of this software. Could someone post a simple way to do this? I'm new to android phones, so I need basic instructions.

If you are going to install unofficial beta for SGS3, not only would you be working with a buggy version of the OS (that's why its in beta, because its unfinished and buggy), you would need to learn to root and flash your device, which basically voids warranty and has a small risk of bricking your device.

Just wait until the software is official. Installing custom firmware is not for new users. There may be potential to harm your device. Just wait or do some more research on XDA or CyanogenMod

If you want to go through the process of rooting/flashing your phone i would suggest to do a lot of reading on the subject so, like others said, you don't potentially brick your phone.

Took me a long time to get a good version running smoothly on my phone, after almost bricking it twice haha.

And Depending on your provider, you may/may not void your warranty. I really dont know about AT&T but i know Verizon really doesn't care if you give them a broken phone that is unlocked/rooted

As of right now JB is not available officially from AT&T for the Samsung Galaxy S3 so I have moved this to the AT&T Galaxy S3 root section.

You should find some great help here and I am sure a developer will point you in the right direction.

Good luck!

There are ways to revert back to stock people and make the phone as if you never touched it In the first place. A.k.A use triangle away and flash back to stock using Odin...very simple.
