AT&T Is Acquiring T-Mobile For $39 Billion

This is actually a scary situation for me.
I work for a third party logistics company that houses T-mobile and att's communications network for norcal and socal sites, such as the antennas, towers etc

I noticed the att side was receiving all the 4g cable since they are switching to fiber optic instead of the standard coax

tmobile side wasnt receiving anything for 4G.
Im hoping they still need tmobiles towers and parts so that nothing happends to our company

It seems like now everything we have for t-mobile is obsolete but i could be wrong.
I hope this doesnt affect us in anyway, i been working for this company for three years now.

Your in a great position! The reason they bought Tmobile was for their towers and spectrum, once the buyout goes through those tmobile towers that arent getting any updates are gonna get A LOT!

Yea,
i heard from all the contractors that they will need to change the frequencies on the towers, probably switch out the coax.

I been stressing over this ever since the news, since i always think the worst in every situation. Keep thinking ATT is just gona move all our tmo equipment else where or have no need for it.

Everything right now seems normal, sites for Tmobile are still deploying and being built so im pretty sure thats a good sign

They may remove some of the T-Mo HSPA+ infrastructure in favor of LTE.

What "frequencies" will be changing?
