Root [AT&T] Is there one that just updates and roots OEM android?

Hi all. I want to update my AT&T Galaxy S3. United states version. Right now its on 4.1.1 but I want to switch to... 4.2.2? I think that is the latest version. However, I also want to root. Is there a pre packaged Odin somewhere that will root, and update to the latest version of android? I don't think I want to get into all those custom ROMs right now. I'll do that later after I'm more familiar with the factory one.

you'll have to use a custom ROM to get to 4.2.2, and at that version, it'll be an AOSP-based version.

the only TouchWiz out there in 4.2.2 is the Galaxy S4, which is currently not ported over to our S3's just yet.

if you just want root without custom ROMs, you'd have to stay at 4.1.1

Thank you for the information! I did not know that. Which custom ROM would you recommend? How many good ones are even available?

custom ROMs at 4.2.2?

the big ones are CyanogenMod 10.1, AOKP, and Paranoid Anrdoid 3.0+

then there's a bunch of other custom ROMs that use one of these 3 as a base model- like Liquid Smooth, PACman, and SlimBean.
