I have an inside scoop the at&t JB OTA will start rolling out tonite.

Hopefully some of you non-rooted folks that have been patiently waiting will get to taste the goodness finally :D

Do not attempt to install it if you're rooted and running a custom recovery.

Wtg, Scotty... might I add that fewer glitchy type of things and bugs are reported when the user takes the trouble to clear cache and even data on some apps/widgets, back up stuff that has not been giving you trouble, and even do a cache partition wipe from the recovery/boot menu .. all prior to allowing the upgrade. One last step, even though the system reboots when finished, reboot once more before restoring backed up items. :)

Excellent advice mister Frisco! I had installed Asian JB 3.17.707.1 on my hoxl, ill have to do a fresh ruu of at&t ics firmware in the next day or 2 so I can check out the at&t OTA :)

So, ATT had a blog post about the JB update happening today, and then took the post down. No updates on my phone. Scotty85 - any insider information as to what happened?

As the topic stats. They finally released it. I won't be updating until I hear about the bugs. Sticking with Viper XL.

Sorry, no idea what may have happened... It could be coming out in waves, or I guess there could have been some technical difficulties. If I hear anything else I will be sure to post it :)

Since the last time I posted, I got a tip to change the date and try again, and sure enough, something is downloading. Currently 28% finished

With apologies I've merged your (one post) thread with Scotty's earlier one of the same subject. ;)

Yup... Ive had simless phones OTA over WiFi plenty of times.

You'll need to be on the correct release firmware(leaks won't always catch an ota) and prety much stock. Custom roms and heavily modded stock.roms will not always allow the ota to install properly. Root access won't stop an ota,but a custom recovery will,so recovery will need to be stock.

My 2c on the ATT Jelly Bean update.

Its fantastic so far. I've had it a few days now and ZERO problems. As far as I can tell everything is MUCH smoother and more responsive. I had quite a bit of lag issues before the update, now its smooth as silk.
