AT&T Microcell

Newbie
Hello all - I really need to get my hands on an AT&T Microcell due to extremely poor reception at home. Really a pain in the a$$ not being able to make or receive calls from home but they are REALLY expensive new and on eBay. Looking for a reasonably priced unit to make life easier.

Please PM me with any offers. Thanks!

Dont know if you still looking for this or not, but you can call att and tell them you have no reception at your house and that you want 1 for free.....pretty sure if you have no reception at home you can legally get out of your contract...at least in cali that is how it is.

Really? does it have to be literally no reception? At my house, the reception is spotty, sometimes with a bar or two, other times, none at all. We tried to get a Microcell and they offered us a $150 credit so we would have to pay $50. We never paid the $50, they never sent us the Microcell, but they gave us the $150 credit...Would we be able to legally get out of our contract too? Or is it only no service areas?

I had reception at my house but only in a few places. I told them this upfront and told it was not acceptable to be only able to use it and not move. That I had dropped god knows how many calls of this and couldnt use it anymore while at home. They sent out a "tech" to verify this and I called back a day or so later to make sure it was confirmed. I did this with Verizon, AT&T and Helio. T-Mobile sent me my ETF back after I told them of this issue and proved it. If you love AT&T, tell them straight up...either give me a free microcell, or I will have to find a provider that works at home. Be stern. Im an a-hole but I kept my cool each time just stressing, how would you feel if you couldnt get calls or texts or blah blah....and they were like, ya, that aint cool.

Good luck. BTW, I use this excuse each time to early upgrade with Verizon every 5-6 months, lol. Hoping to do it again to get me a Nexus Prime.

How do you use that excuse to upgrade every 5-6 months? I'd be fine suffering through semi-shitty service for 2 upgrades a year...

Yeah i upgrade my lines (all 5) about every 5-6 months as well. When you call you need to speak with customer retentions they are the ones that can do this every 6 month upgrade. Just tell them you will change carriers for whatever reason (unhappy with phone/service, known problems with the phone you have and you dont want a refurb exchange, etc)
