Root [AT&T] PLEASE HELP: Can't unlock bootloader

Hi everyone,
I just recently got a HTC one x and am really pleased with it. The only issue is that I cannot unlock the bootloader. I have tried every way under the sun but every code that is given me is getting an error that says not a valid mei. I have tried at least 15 times with no success.

Also, I wanted to point out that I do not have a sim card in the phone because it is just a toy now. I don't know if this is something to do with it or not.

Via the HTCdev site? I didn't think AT&T allowed an official unlock via htcdev.

Well actually I unlocked the bootloader by using the universal toolkit and changing the cid to 11111111. Unfortunately I tried to flash cyanogenmod10 onto it and now its stuck in the white HTC screen :'(
