AT&T Software Update -- what to do?

I used my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on AT&T for most of 2017. Then I switched to Consumer Cellular.

Today I have a push notification for an "AT&T Software Update". As far as I can recall, this is the first such update notice to appear on my phone. Two options are available for the update: CONTINUE or REMIND ME LATER.

So what should I do? Install the update? Ignore the update? Something else?

Thanks.

Steve

Consumer Cellular is an MVNO, essentially a wholesaler reselling network to you, and they are most likely selling you AT&T network access since your phone was originally with them. That may be why you get that notification.
As to the update, is there a URL link in the notification that you can go read the release notes to find out what is being updated? Samsung and Verizon typically provide those when notifying me of updates on my S10Plus, and I do go to lightly read the release notes to see if anything stands out as strange.

Same experience here. I already posted here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-att/software-updated-received-nov-12-13-2020-t4189867

I'm on the AT&T network. My phone automatically installed the update overnight. New info on my phone (post-update):

Kernel version
3.10.40-8932341
dpi@SWHE9615 #1
Mon Sep 14 16:23:37 KST 2020

Build number
MMB29M.N910AUCU2ETI2

The last update I received before this was in 2017. So far searching the internet has turned up nothing for me as far as any further information.

I selected CONTINUE and the update began installation. It rebooted. The phone seems to work OK.

My service provider is Consumer Cellular. Consumer Cellular advised my at the beginning that they were placing me on the T-Mobile network.

Thanks. Steve
