At&T to purchase T-Mobile

I think the supposed tmobile customers have nothing to be pissed about. The coverage will just get better because now were tmobile was weak ATT signals are there and were ATT was weak tmobile signals are there. Starting next year all the phones for the new ATT will be pentaband so as to work on all those frequencies. This is great news

I think competition and choices is a good thing. Don't like the conglomeration effect that continues to happen.

let's be serious tmobile was competing with no one so it was inevitable

Actually they were probably competing with Sprint as a low cost nationwide urban carrier. Tmo where they offered service was usually really good.
This is sad, just one more reason why the big 2 can crank up rates for all of us.

Actually no they weren't Sprint has added customers and improved profits in the past two quarters while tmobile hasn't done either in years

Good business decision for AT&T - they will have better coverage and 4g in places they didn't have it before. They still won't be as good as Verizon but .. who knows what the effects will be. Lots of people don't seem to like AT&T, so there could be a mass exodus to other networks from current Tmobile customers to run away from AT&T.

Yea and 99% of those people have no reason behind their ATT hate. They just follow the bias like sheep

I just liked having a no-contract no-subsidty unlimited text/web plan and low minutes. Just what I wanted.

TMO cust service was pretty nice too -- not like dealing with verizon who charged me an ETF for changing my number, even though I had wanted to stay with them and have two phones. But after that I was done with them.

Well we don't know if that's going away. Also tmobile customer service and android team will be part of ATT win

I think it is a great move. ATT will get stronger, t-mobile can avoid going under. It may also mean better data speeds for customers since t-mobile seems to be ahead in the HSPA+ route. Good for all.

Wow just wow, I guess you guys think ATT is just gonna make things cheaper? Less competition is bad...this is going to suck in the long run.

Yeah sprint was gaining some back after hitting rock bottom, tmobile may have been static but they also weren't bleeding the customers sprint was 4 or 5 years ago.
They were both nationwide and offering cheaper rates than the big two, while maybe you don't consider them direct competitors, they both help the market....now there is one less.

The reason deutch telecom was looking to sell for the past four years it was because it was a money pit. Constant subscriber loss no available spectrum for LTE expansion etc etc. In other words no room for growth. As part of ATT there will be LTE and growth

You automatically assume its the opposite. With this purchase ATT actually saves money in the rollout and dramatically improves their network overnight

Holy wow, your a plant from ATT aren't you? No clue how someone could be so blind. So the 700 million pops and change they promised for lte to cover is going to come out of the kindness of their hearts? Ha! They are going to charge whatever they want because now all the fans of gsm have no where else to go.
Seeing your other posts, man your ATT fanboyism is just astounding. Kudos!

I just wish at&t wouldn't put a 2 gig limit on data. I don't mind paying extra for reliable service. Maybe the extra 4g coverage will allow them to offer unlimited data again. I always try to find a silver lining. If I accidently flush $1000 down the toilet, I think it is a small price to pay for the important lesson to be more careful with my cash.

screw AT and Trash. capped data, crippled android devices and over priced plans? no thanks. Verizon is more expensive but at least the coverage isnt garbage.

Simple mobile still exists last I checked. Ps if ATT didn't buy them.they would have had nowhere else to go either. Tmobile was being shopped the last 4 years. It was either sell or shut down. I'm.not a fanboy or a plant just a realist
